2015 Nursing Scholarships

The Iowa Heart Center Foundation hosted its annual Nursing Scholarship Awards Tea on August 4, 2015. Board members, donors, scholarship recipients and family members attended the event. This marks the eighth year Iowa Heart Center Foundation has provided scholarships to Iowa nursing students. A total of $7,750 in scholarships were awarded including: C.J. Hawkins Memorial Scholarships to Angela Davis and Ellen Reiter -both attending Mercy College of Health Sciences(MCHS); Erma M. Hawkins Memorial Scholarships to Christina Baker and Anita Leveke -both attending MCHS; Dr. David & Leticia Gordon Scholarship to Kylie Johnson (MCHS); and Iowa Heart Center Foundation Scholarships to Bethany Wildt (Iowa Central Community College) and Tyler Stover (Grand View University). Application for the 2016 academic year will be posted in March 2016 to the website at www.iowaheartfoundation.org.

The mission of the Iowa Heart Foundation is to promote cardiovascular health in our communities through increasing awareness, providing access to information and assisting those in need. The Foundation initiatives are carried out in the following areas: charitable healthcare services, professional education and community service.
