Our aim is to promote cardiovascular health in Iowa communities and organizations. To accomplish this we commit to:

  • Charitable Services - assisting those with a determined financial need to obtain cardiac healthcare services

100% of funding remains within Iowa serving Iowans and their communities.

Arcadia American Legion Post 694 AED Placement

The Iowa Heart Foundation, represented by Iowa Heart Center cardiologist Kyle Ulveling, MD and his wife, Onica, donated an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to the Arcadia American Legion Post 694 on April 9, 2014. Any Iowa business or community organization with a determined financial need interested in obtaining an AED is encouraged to contact the Iowa Heart Foundation at 515-633-3555 to obtain an application form.

Adair County Health Systems AED Placement

The Iowa Heart Foundation, represented by Iowa Heart Center cardiologist Shakuntala Advani, MD donated an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department at the Adair County Health System in Greenfield on April 3, 2014.

Community Education Event--May 2, 2014!

The Iowa Heart Foundation presents "Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease" with best selling author Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr, MD, on Friday, May 2 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the Iowa Heart Center West University Auditorium at 5880 University Ave in West Des Moines. Dr. Esselstyn will discuss how to adopt sustainable lifestyle changes. This community education event is free, however, RSVP requested by calling 515-633-3555.
