24th Annual Cardiovascular Today Conference

SAVE THE DATE! The 24th Annual Cardiovascular Today Conference will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the HyVee Conference Center in West Des Moines. The conference will offer continuing education credits and the opportunity to network with other healthcare professionals interested in cardiovascular care. The brochure and on-line registration are now available under "upcoming events".

AED Placement

The Iowa Heart Foundation donated an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in West Des Moines on September 30. Cindy Conroy, Iowa Heart Foundation Program Coordinator presented the AED to Christine Wirth, Church Administrator and her staff. 2014 Nursing Scholarships Announced

The Iowa Heart Foundation provides nursing tuition scholarships annually. Recipients of the 2014 scholarships include the following nursing students: Anita Leveke, Kevin Rixmann, Krista Hageman, and Laura Stensland (all attend Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines); Tyler Stover (Grand View University) and Danielle Bohnert (DMACC-Ankeny). The 2015 scholarship application will be available in March with applications due June 1, 2015.
